Welcome to Alam Sari…the essence of Bali

Alam Sari, in Indonesian means natural essence. Our resort is situated in the heart of Bali, among the traditional villages, rice paddies, and the cool, green hills north of Ubud, in sight of Mount Agung, Bali’s sacred mountain. The magnificent views from all of our suites and villas on our hilltop setting are complemented by the dense tropical gardens and a natural stone swimming pool. The resort has its own restaurant and spa and is favoured by yoga and wellness groups from all over the world. We pride ourselves on being eco-friendly, using mainly locally grown spices, fruits and vegetables, many from our own organic garden, to bring these flavours to your table.

Alam Sari embraces the essence of Bali in other ways too, by offering you a unique opportunity to get away from the busy tourist centres and enter into a cultural experience that is truly Balinese. When staying at Alam Sari hotel we offer every guest a free guided tour of the artist’s village of Keliki, near Tegalalang, as well as the surrounding rice paddies. Get to know the traditional village customs, meet a Balinese family and learn first hand about the Balinese life. Our concierge will also be happy to arrange a traditional cooking course in a Balinese home or any of the large range of activities and tours possible in the surrounding area. Through these experiences focus on local arts, culture, sustainable living practices and spiritual wellbeing, Alam Sari will share some valuable insights into the essential customs of the Balinese and their world of Bali.
