I founded Mosquito Lady Consulting in the Maldives while living on a tiny resort island that was being fogged and sprayed with chemical pesticides three times a day!  There were still loads of mosquitoes and many complaints from guests and staff. I decided to implement a more effective and “Environmentally Responsible” process.  Finding and eliminating mosquito larvae in aquatic breeding sites.

By preventing the emergence of winged adult mosquitoes it was possible to achieve far superior mosquito control and eliminate all use of chemical pesticides.  The cost savings in the Maldives were substantial, over $25,000 a year!  I hadn’t intended to start a business, but the work took on a life of its own when the demand became apparent and the resort I was working for wanted to fly me to their next location. It has been a wild and exciting journey over the past eight years; taking me to many exotic tropical locations all over the world in the hunt for mosquitoes!
